Young woman ended march by pledging to continue struggle

Under the motto of "Revolt, Resist to End the Occupation and Liberate the Leader," Young Women's Union organized a march condemning the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish people Abdullah Ocalan and supporting the activist Leyla Guven who has been on hunger strike for 31 days condemning isolation.

The march was launched on Friday from the village of Xane Serî in Dêrik district in Qamishlo canton with the participation of 200 young women from the cities and districts of al-Jazeera region.

The march continued on Saturday from Dêrik city towards Ain Diwar village, where the people of Berav village received the participants. The march ended in the village of Ain Diwar with a statement on behalf of the participants read by a member of the Young Women Union Luna Jewhar, and the text of the statement reads as follows:

"In this village, we ended the march, but the path of struggle continues because the leader has been struggling for 20 years in the prison of the Turkish fascism because he has free thought and will.

The statement added, "Women did not get their rights in all domains, but the leader Abdullah Ocalan gave women their rights in all respects.

The struggle and resistance of the young women continues until the liberation of the leader and all the politicians in the prisons of the Turkish fascism, so we will step up our struggle against fascism and slavery."

Moreover, the march ended with chanting the slogans that call for the freedom of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan."
