The Syrian National Student Movement organized the march in these neighborhoods to show solidarity with the people of North and East Syria, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) in their resistance against the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the Tishrin Dam.

The march started in front of Al-Jazera Hall in the Ashrafieh neighborhood and headed toward the Student Movement Center, with participants chanting slogans such as "We are greater than death" and "Long live the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces." They also carried pictures of the martyrs of the Tishrin Dam.

Upon arrival, the participants observed a moment of silence in honor of the martyrs before delivering a statement in Kurdish and Arabic, read by movement members Shorsh Mohammed and Farida Ali.

The statement began with: "We have gathered today to support the historic resistance of the Tishrin Dam. This dam is a vital symbol of stability and development in the region. Unfortunately, however, it has not been spared from the political and military conflicts that have plagued Syria for years."

It continued: "The region is witnessing a historic resistance against the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. This resistance is embodied in the spirit of struggle, the steadfastness of the Syrian people, and the Syrian Democratic Forces’ defense against repeated threats aimed at seizing control of the area and exploiting its resources."

The statement emphasized "the sacrifices of the martyrs who defended their land and protected the dam and the surrounding areas, serving as a shield against the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. Their sacrifices underscore the importance of unity and solidarity in confronting the occupation."

The march concluded with chants of "Long live the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces."
