The European Union, France, Germany and Britain issued a statement reaffirming their commitment to the nuclear deal despite new sanctions imposed by Washington on Tehran.

The second package of sanctions imposed by the administration of US President Donald Trump on Iran entered into force on Monday, with sanctions imposed by the Trump administration on oil, energy and banking sectors.

On August 7, the United States imposed the first package of sanctions against Iran, including the car production sector and the trade in gold and other precious metals.
