Youth of Manbij denounces Turkish attacks, insists on facing them

In response to the Turkish attacks against the villages in Kobanî canton and Girê Spî city, Manbij Youth Council issued a statement saying that the blood of the people of North Syria was mixed up in the fight against terrorism supported by Turkey, and we will be one hand against any aggression on the territories and the unity of Syria.

The statement was read on Thursday during a gathering of the members of the Council on the runway of al-Baldi Stadium in the center of the city of Manbij by the co-chair of the Youth Council Salah Jumah, which, and the statement included,

"In the name of the youths of Manbij and its countryside, and in the name of the Young Women's Union, we denounce and condemn in the strongest terms the Turkish criminal attacks on North Syria which prove that Turkey does not afford the security and stability spread in North Syria through the solidarity of their people and their unity on the principle of peoples' fraternity which undermined its fascist system.

The Turkish state, which depends on nationalism and racism, is attacking us. We, as the youths of Manbij, are one hand against any aggression against the territories and unity of Syria. We will not stand idly by towards these attacks because the blood of the people of North Syria has been mixed up in the fight against terrorism and extremism supported by the Turkish state. This is our word against any enemy even thinks of attacking our territories or trying to strike our national unity.

We, the youths, will follow the footsteps of the martyrs Arin and Avista and become a fire that will burn every aggressor who tries to harm our dignity and co-existence, and we condemn the international silence towards these attacks which are against all the international norms and laws."
