Haqi Kobanî: We are always ready to protect our areas

The commander in the People Protection Units (YPG) Haqi Kobanî said during his participation in the celebration of the International Day of Solidarity with Kobanî Resistance that the echo of Kobanî Resistance spread throughout the world due to the strong will of the people and by virtue of the freedom's martyrs.

As the activities of the celebration of the International Day of Solidarity with Kobanî Resistance began with the participation of thousands of people from the canton and delegations from various parts of North Syria.

The ceremony was attended by several political figures, notably Mansour Salloum, the head of the Future Syria Party Ibrahim al-Qaftan, the co-chair of the Executive Council of Syria Democratic Council (SDC) Elham Ahmed, the co-chair of the Executive Council of Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Abdul Hamid al-Muhbash and a number of Arab and Kurdish clans' sheikhs.

The commander congratulated the peoples of the area and the martyrs of freedom on the International Day of Solidarity with Kobanî Resistance, he said, "This square where we are are celebrating now was liberated by the blood of the martyrs, the resistance was led by the martyr Judy so now, we commemorate all the martyrs of freedom in his personality."

"The Turkish attacks aim at undermining the will of the peoples, but the peoples of the area prove here that their will will not be broken," Haqi Kobanî said.

"But everyone must know that the will of the people contributed to triumphing the resistance because we derive our full moral strength from our people," he said.
