According to the law preamble, the General Assembly calls for the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to be the common level that all peoples and nations should target. However, this law does not apply to the people of North Syria, who have suffered hundreds of years of killings, torture, displacement and demographic change. Thus, the Turkish occupation to Afrin north-west of Aleppo and pursued by the policy of demographic change and murder and kidnapping.

Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman treatment, according to the Declaration, human dignity must be protected, but let's see how the Turkish occupation army treated a citizen of Afrin who was kidnapped with 27 other people while trying to escape occupation practices against the people of the canton, where he spent 65 days in the prisons of the occupation.

The citizen (KM) of the people of Afrin canton was kidnapped by the Turkish occupation army for more than 3 months, and after he managed to escape from the canton and access to the areas of al-Shahba, he narrated to ANHA agency what was practiced in the prisons of the Turkish occupation.

(KM) said "When we arrived at the prison they threw us out of the car in a barbaric manner with the beatings and they were jammed together in one room of only 3 meters and two meters wide, after they had lifted the bags from our heads without removing the wrists of our hands, there was only one blanket, they brought us some food after midnight, and we asked to disengage our hands to be able to eat, but they said to us (you have to eat like dogs).

The silence of the United Nations towards these practices indicates its recognition, and its recognition means that it contradicts the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Article 17 of the two items provides that everyone has the right to own property alone or in association with others, and no one may be arbitrarily deprived of their property. In other words, according to this article, the individual must not be stripped of his property, but what we see today in Afrin, the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries looted and robbed most of the property of the people of Afrin canton.

Recently, according to information obtained by ANHA correspondents, the Turkish occupation army took out the inhabitants of several villages in the area of Bulbul district, such as the villages of Zara, Hiama, Ali Karo and Khaliklo forcibly, and turned their villages into military areas.

Citizens are forced to leave their homes, which is unacceptable to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights!

In addition to the torture, humiliation and forced eviction from Afrin, every day there are reports from the canton that dozens of villagers, especially women, have been kidnapped. On 27 September, the Turkish occupation has kidnapped through its mercenaries of "al-Hamzat" gangs the citizen Kula Khalil, at 45,  with her daughter Gazala Salmo from the village of Burj Abdolo in the area of Şêrawa district and took them to an unknown destination.

And to return to the articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and to compare the cases of kidnapping that occur in Afrin with the provisions of the law, namely article 18, which states that everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. This right includes freedom to change his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching, alone or with a group, and in public or in private.

Article 19 provides that everyone has his right in freedom of opinion and expression. This right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and in receiving and imparting information and ideas through any means regardless of frontiers. However, none of these items were implemented in Afrin.

The Turkish occupation carried out the kidnapping of all those who had a role in educating the community. Hundreds of teachers and university professors have been kidnapped so far, the last one was the professor Riad Mulla

In returning to the laws of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, namely Article 21, which stipulates that everyone has the right to take part in the public affairs of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives, and everyone has the right to hold public office in his country, but none of this was seen in Afrin.

What had been mentioned was tiny details of what is happening in Afrin, but international organizations, human rights, especially the United Nations, which adopt the Universal Declaration of Human Rights are silent about the Turkish violations in Afrin, as if they do not see what is happening in Afrin.

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is a historic document, drafted by representatives from various countries of the world, adopted by the General Assembly of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Paris on 10 December 1948 by resolution 217 as the common standard to be addressed by all peoples and nations, which in its content is the protection of universal human rights.
