Women of Afrin seek to implement Kongra Star decisions

The second conference of Kongra Star was held in Afrin canton, on 26 July, 2018 with the participation of 500 delegates and representatives from Rojava and Aleppo city, the conference resulted in  many decisions, the most important of these was " the activities must be on the basis of the freedom of the leader of  Kurdish people, Abdullah Ocalan, abide by all the resolutions emanating from Afrin Liberation Conference, continue the campaign of "Women of the world Revolt for Afrin", to intensify the intellectual exercises for men and women, to form a committee to write the struggle and resistance of Afrin women in Resistance of the Age, preparing files of the violations and aggression of Turkish occupation against the women and children and send it to public opinion, the opening of a center for women who are exposed to violence, the activation of the diplomatic committee for Kongra Star, the opening of an exhibition of handicrafts.

ANHA agency met with the member of the conference coordinator Newroz Hashim, who pointed out to the holding of conferences in all the cities and areas of Rojava and the 7th general conference of Kongra Star under the slogan "In the spirit of Resistance of the Age, we make the revolution of women a community revolution" and based on this slogan, they will escalate the struggle pace until the freedom of all women is gained.

"After the forcible displacement of Afrin residents of al-Shahba canton, Kongra Star began to restructure the conference, engage women and support the people," Newroz said.

After holding the second conference of Kongra Star in Afrin canton and electing a new coordinator for them, she said, we are coordinating with all institutions and holding periodic meetings to discuss the situation of displaced women by force.

"We held 120 meetings for all women, where the coordination had been hold between Kongra Star and communes to hold these meetings.

After the meetings, Kongra Star will begin with activities condemning the isolation imposed on the leader of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan and demanding his freedom, as well as continuing with the campaign of "Women of the World, Revolt for the Liberation of Afrin".

It is worth mentioning that the 7th general conference of Kongra Star was held on 16/17 of August in Rmaylan town, after holding many conferences in all the areas of Rojava.
