Where did "Revolt" campaign reach, what is achieved?

Since the start of Rojava revolution (West Kurdistan), youth have played a key role in defending the gains made by the people of the area with their blood, and with the start of the campaign, they have taken great strides in this field and have proved themselves in achieving the objectives of their campaign.

More than 8 months after the campaign began, what results did the young people achieve of their campaign goals in the first and second phases, in this report, we will list the most prominent youth activities in "Revolt" campaign.

The first phase

Launched by the Coordinating Bureau of the Youth Federation of Rojava and the Young Women Union to demand the disclosure of the status of the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan on 5 November 2017.

The events included marches, such as the march that had launched from Serê Kaniyê area in al-Jazeera canton to the center of Qamişlo canton, which lasted for 7 days, in addition to festivals such as organizing the first festival of the Arabian horses in al-Tabqa city, and the organization of football patrols in various regions in North Syria.

The Young Women Union in Aleppo organized a torch march to denounce the isolation imposed on the leader of the peoples, Abdullah Ocalan, and demand the disclosure of his health.

In addition, youth centers were opened in cities and towns liberated from ISIS, such as al-Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, in order to educate young people, and to revolt against the threats that targeted the territories of North Syrian by the Turkish occupation.

The activities of the "Revolt" campaign in its first phase included young people from Europe, Middle East and North Syria.

The first phase of "Revolt" campaign ended on 21 March 2018.

The second phase

Announced by the Youth Federation North Syria, under the slogan "Revolt, Fight, and Liberate Afrin." The union appealed to all young people to organize themselves and join the campaign on June 9.

On 18 June, Rojava youth movement in Girê Spî canton began the second phase of "Revolt" campaign, under the slogan "Revolt against the Turkish occupation".
The goal of the second phase is to break the Turkish occupation of Afrin and liberate it; this stage is not restricted to a specific period of time but will continue according to the political and military developments taking place in the Syrian arena.

At this phase, the youth organized a number of activities, including foot marches and hanging banners, on which slogans were written for the youth, as well as drawings on the walls depicting the brutality of the Turkish occupation, as well as the organization of football festivals and patrols.

It also opened at this stage training courses for intellectual and military youth.

The last youth activity under the second phase was to go to Başur, "southern Kurdistan" and face the attacks of the Turkish occupation against the Kurdish people in the south and its threats to Medya areas, but the authorities of Başur Kurdistan prevented the youth from entering its territory.

The campaign has achieved good successes

To talk more about the results of the campaign so far, the administrator of the Youth League of Rojava, Delsher Rojava told ANHA "The goal of the campaign was to raise the morale of young people to the highest levels, and achieve the goal by revealing the health situation of Ocalan and revolt against the Turkish occupation, which was threatening our areas in North Syria in particular and the Syrian territories in general, and block the way to the intentions of occupation. "

He stressed that the two stages of the campaign achieved good successes and almost reached the desired goals, pointing out that they will continue their campaign until the disclosure of the health status of Ocalan and defeat the Turkish occupation of Syrian territory.
