Youth, residents of Derbasiya demand physical freedom for Leader Ocalan 

Today, the Revolutionary Youth Union in Derbasiya, Jazira Canton, held a demonstration calling for the right to hope for Leader Abdullah Ocalan, attended by hundreds of youth, residents, and members of local institutions.

Protesters marched from the Free Woman Square toward Gardeniya Roundabout, chanting slogans such as “Long Live the Leader” and “No Life Without the Leader,” while carrying pictures of Leader Ocalan, flags of the Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union, and a banner reading: “It’s Time for the Physical Freedom of Leader.”

Upon reaching Gardeniya Roundabout, the protesters observed a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs, after which Zakaria Al-Hasso, an administrator in the Revolutionary Youth Movement in Derbasiya, delivered a speech highlighting Leader Ocalan’s struggle in Imrali Prison.

He added: “Isolation continues for Leader Abdullah Ocalan, despite 26 years passing,” emphasizing that Turkish authorities refuse to grant him the right to hope under European laws that allow for his freedom, and noted that Leader Ocalan’s remarkable resistance has made Imrali a beacon of peace for the entire world.

Al-Hasso called on residents and youth to take to the squares and continue the struggle until Leader Ocalan achieves his physical freedom.

The demonstration concluded with chants celebrating Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s resistance.
