HPG carried out operations against Turkish army

The Media Center of the Popular Defense Forces (HPG) issued today a statement to the public, in which it referred to the results of the operations carried out by their forces against the Turkish army in Bakur (northern Kurdistan).

The statement said:

Our forces carried out an operation on July 29 at 15:00, in Şemzînan district of Colemêrg, in the framework of the revolutionary campaign launched on behalf of the martyrs of Pêroz and Agirî .The operation targeted the security hill at the Şikerê Spî post. Our forces have launched strong blows to the enemy positions. The number of dead and wounded in enemy ranks was not confirmed.

In the context of the revolutionary campaign launched on behalf of the martyr Delal and the martyrs of Basta, our forces carried out an operation on July 28  at 17:50. The operation targeted the Turkish army battalion stationed in Melê village of Şernax city without accurate information on the number of dead and wounded of the Turkish army.

After 9:00 pm, the Turkish army launched an attack on the area using drones and the attack continues.

On July 29, at 18:00 hours, Turkish military aircraft launched raids on Golka hill in Mitnîa area and Cehennem hill at Martyr Restam Square in Zap area.

On the same day, at 14:00 hours, the Turkish army shelled the camps located in Çelê district and Colemêrg, the Martyr Restam squares and Cîlo yê Biçûk. There were fires in the forests of the area due to heavy shelling. "
