We need constitution that guarantees future to generations without exclusion

Hawar news agency (ANHA) held interview with the Co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council SDF( Aleppo office) Marai al-Shibli talking about the requirements of the current stage in the Syria and discussions of constitutional reform in Syria.

Mari began by saying: "We reached where we are during the eight years of the Syrian crisis, from the loss of the Syrian people with all its components, sacrificing its people and abandoning millions, including those who drowned in the sea and some died on the roads as a result of misunderstandings between us."

On the subject of the need for a new constitution, al-Shibli said, "Geneva mocked and multipled, while Astana were numerous; 9 meetings were held which did not achieve anything for the Syrian people. We as Syrians need a constitution that brings us to live in the same homeland, a constitution that guarantees our rights, our freedom and everything."

Al-Shibli said, "Syria has unfortunately become a playground in which all the countries of the world intervene. We have paid the price for our mistakes, but we still have the potential to develop the society and accept dialogue with all parties without exclusion to avoid increasing foreign interference in the country. "

When asked about the authority to establish the new constitution and supervise it, Marai said, "The people of Mecca know its reefs and we as a Syrian people have lawyers and judges. The task of drafting the constitution lies with the people who demand a civil constitution that guarantees the rights of all without exclusion. Their interests, the demands and hopes of the people must be the foundation of the new constitution.”
