"Eternalized in history"... stories of 25th June martyrs collected in book

Adnan Ali, a young man from Kobanî city, began about three and a half months ago to write the stories of the martyrs of the massacre of 25th June 2015 committed by ISIS in Kobanî city and Burkh Bhatan village (27 km south of Kobanî), seeking to collect in the book "Eternalized in history."

In Kobanî city and Burkh Batan village, ISIS mercenaries had committed a massacre of civilians, killing more than 233 civilians (28 of them from Burkh Batan village, which ISIS infiltrated to it in parallel with his infiltration to Kobanî

Adnan, who is a member of the administration of the Martyr Viyan Amara Academy, began collecting and writing the stories of the victims of the massacre, accompanied by Ilham Masko, on early March from Burkh Batan village, where Adnan put the stories of its martyrs in the first section of his book.

The book is divided into two parts: the first, which lists the stories of the martyrs of Burkh Batan village and other villages, and the second to recount the stories of martyrs of the massacre of Kobanî's people.

Adnan finished writing the first section within two months, and sent it to print in Qamishlo, where he the copies are expected to arrive to Kobanî in a matter of days.

"These massacres have not been documented and could have sunk into oblivion, so we have begun to write the stories of these martyrs so that they will not be forgotten and kept alive and perpetuated in history," says Adnan.

"We have had many difficulties, perhaps the most important of which is that we are new to writing and technical capabilities have been weak, despite that, our passion for accomplishing this work grew, this made us more determined to make it a success.

In his book, Adnan explains that he lists the main stations of every martyr martyred in the massacre, from childhood to his style of dealing with life, dealing with others, his position in the revolution until the moments of his martyrdom based on the testimonies of his relatives and family.

"When you talk to the martyrs' families, you see that most of them were martyred because they thought the shooting was a joy to liberate Sareein town, this is proof of their love for peace and stability," Adnan said.

Adnan Ali has not started writing the second section of his book, which will include the stories of the martyrs of the massacre of the people of Kobanî city, where it is scheduled to start work soon.

Adnan and his family are the ones of those who had been betrayed, his father was martyred in the 25 June massacre.

He eagerly awaits the arrival of copies of the printed book to provide a copy to each family he met on his writing journey as a gift.
