Al-Jarnyia municipality ... damaged bridges, small potentials

Damaged roads negatively reflected on the commercial and economic situation of the area, especially with the arrival of the transfer of grain harvested from farms and villages.

In an interview with ANHA agency, the administrator of the technical office in the People's Municipality in al-Jarnyia Wael al-Zaher described the current situation as "the result of the rain and torrential rains on the area, many bridges and ferries in the area have been destroyed."

"We are a technical office in al-Jarnyia Municipality, our mission is to provide studies and engineering plans that lead to the rehabilitation of roads and work to restore or even build new bridges."

He pointed out that the number of damaged and dilapidated bridges reached to 20 ones, expressing the greatest regret for the municipality's logistical and financial inability to meet service obligations towards the citizens.

The People's Municipality in al-Jarnyia suffers from a severe shortage of vehicles, where it owns only two dedicated garbage dumps.

"We are in the process of forming an integrated engineering team to communicate with the supporting bodies and provide the necessary plans and studies in order to restore the arteries of life to al-Jarniya town and its countryside," he concluded.

It is worth mentioning that seven bridges were destroyed as a result of fighting in the area.
