Cultural, artistic events in Jazira cities in support of SDF

Two concerts will be held in the cities of Girkê Legê and Tirbespiye in support of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Additionally, the fifth edition of the Rojava International Film Festival will take place in the city of Qamishlo.

Cultural and artistic events continue in the Jazira Canton as part of activities organized by the Mesopotamia Movement for Democratic Culture and Art (TEV-ÇAND), in support of the SDF and to promote artistic engagement in NE Syria.

In Tirbespiye, a concert will be held today, Friday, November 7, 2025, featuring artists Baran, Somaya, Danish, and Tarek, starting at 16:00. The event will include national and folkloric musical performances.

The city of Girkê Legê is scheduled to host a musical evening on Monday, November 10, 2025, with performances by artists Salman, Roshen, Bavi Amin, and Talib, starting at 16:00.

Meanwhile, the Rojava Cinema Commune will organize the fifth edition of the Rojava International Film Festival from November 13 to 20 at the Mohamed Sheikhû Center for Culture and Art and the Mesopotamia Center for Democratic Culture and Art (TEV-ÇAND) in Qamishlo, with wide participation from directors and artists from both inside and outside the region.

These events aim to support local arts and highlight their role in fostering a spirit of resistance and community solidarity in NE Syria.
