Preparations are underway to present Kurdish tunes and traditional arts during the 34th Arab Summit of the League of Arab States, scheduled to take place on May 17, 2025, in the Iraqi capital.

This artistic participation is part of efforts to promote cultural understanding and civilizational exchange among peoples. It will include violinist and music professor Alan Abdullah, a member of the Iraqi Symphony Orchestra, and one of the most prominent musical talents performing pieces from authentic Kurdish heritage, especially the Hawrami art.

In statements to (Roj News), Abdullah expressed his happiness to participate as part of the Iraqi orchestra, emphasizing that the launch of this concert, held in honor of the Arab Summit, is a unique opportunity to present the masterpieces of Kurdish art on a prestigious Arab platform.

He noted that Iraq, as a country of multiple ethnicities and cultures, is expressing through this event the richness and diversity of its artistic heritage. He highlighted that the inclusion of Kurdish music represents a historic event, shedding light on the authenticity and creativity of Kurdish art.

Abdullah added: “Kurdish art carries a message of love and brotherhood; music is a universal language that speaks of tolerance and peace,” expressing his hope that the messages of love and harmony embodied in this art will reach all the peoples of the world.

The Baghdad Arab Summit is considered a significant event bringing together leaders and heads of Arab countries, where Kurdish melodies will stand out as part of the cultural scene during this historic gathering, further enhancing Iraq's status as a center of cultural diversity and artistic creativity.

This marks the first event of its kind to be featured at the Arab Summit in all its years of convening.
