Participant fighter in al-Deshisha liberation: campaign continues to defeat IS

ANHA agency correspondents sought the views of the fighter in the ranks of the Women Protection Units Duza Jian in al-Deshisha town on how they have liberated the town from IS mercenaries and the continuation of the campaign.

"Al-Jazeera Tempest campaign which has been launched to liberate al-Deshisha town and insure the Iraqi border since a period of time has achieved victories against IS mercenaries. Al-Deshisha town was an important stronghold for IS mercenaries. When they appeared in Syria, they penetrated into this town, and from here, their attacks on Rojava areas have begun," Doza said.

Duza added, "The people here have cut off the hope of being freed from IS mercenaries. When we came and liberated them, the smile returned to their faces. They have greeted us with trills expressing their joy and happiness so we always derive our morale from our people."

"Since Monday, we have been clashing against IS starting from Kharbet al-Shairat village, about 2 kilometers away from al-Deshisha town. The mercenaries hindered our progress by planting heavy mines in the village and booby-trapped vehicles and bikes. However, we resisted them and thwarted their attacks until we have liberated the town," she said.

Duza said, "We continue to eliminate them until they would be defeated and expelled from the area. Our victory and our great joy of this campaign is the liberation of the people from IS mercenaries, and the most joyous is when we see the smile of the child who has been gone out of oppression. It has come to my attention that the women here were living a difficult life as if in hell."

"As fighters in the Women Protection Units, we took our place in this campaign, the mercenaries have no choice but to flee," the fighter in the Women Protection Units Doza Jian concluded.
