Al-Atala Bakery is step to fill area's need

The problem of bread was one of the main problems experienced by the residents in al-​Arisha district and its villages due to the lack of bakeries in the area and the poor quality of bread which they used to buy from the vendors and shops, but this problem have gradually disappeared with the opening of al-Atala Bakery on 10th of last May by the Economic Committee in al-Hasakah canton.

As al-Atala Bakery covers 20 villages of al-Arisha district, while it daily produces 3 tons of bread, and the area was divided into two sectors each sector includes 10 villages. Bread is distributed on one sector a day in coordination with the commune in the villages.

ANHA agency has met the co-chair of the Economy Council in al-Arisha district Suleiman al-Abdullah who pointed out that this bakery was one of the important and good steps in order to achieve the self-sufficiency and self-reliance in addition to filling the area's need for bread.

Suleiman al-Abdullah pointed out that the area was divided into two sectors, and bread is distributed per day on a sector only; in other words, on ten villages, stressing that they will work on increasing the amount of the flour so that the bakery would cover the two sectors completely.

In turn, the citizen Dina al-Ferih thanked whoever supervises the bakery, and she pointed out that the bakery saved the people’s effort to go to the neighboring villages to buy bread, in addition to the good quality of the bread.
