Refugees suffering in al-Tuehina camp peak during Ramadan

The refugees’ suffering who are residing in al-Tuehina camp located in the north-west countryside of al-Tabqa city is increasing since the holy month of Ramadan, and the humanitarian organizations still stick to inaction and the temperature is rising accompanied by a wave of dust that hits the region from time to time.

About 2,200 refugees who are staying in al-Tuehina camp according to latest statistics conducted by camp administration who are coming from all Syrian parts facing harsh conditions living. Refugees have suffered a lot from high temperature and most humanitarian organizations are working in al-Tabqa city do not move till now to help them, and just provided them some food baskets that are not enough for the smallest family in the camp for several days.

Hawar news agency (ANHA) explored views refugees in the camp during Ramadan month and monitored their suffering.

Mustafa Ismail, one of the displaced people fleeing the regime's brutality, spoke in the countryside of Hama city "Today we live with great difficulty in the camp, we have not seen the assistance for a long time and this is what drives us to buy materials from external markets at prices that do not fit in any way with our poor and desperate condition and there is only water available in the camp, which is hardly suitable for drinking.

Samira al-Jassim, a mother of five children, took refuge in the camp to escape the policies of the barbaric regime in Aqerbat area located in the eastern countryside of Hama. "With the high temperature of the atmosphere and the nature of the camp adjacent to the bank of the Euphrates River, which causes uneven temperatures during the day which leads to diseases in children such as colds and this is a great burden on us because of lack of medical care in the camp, while we have to transfer our children to doctors outside the camp, but our physical capacity is weak and cannot afford the treatment abroad."

It is noteworthy that the Office of Organization Affairs in Democratic Civil Administration in al-Tabqa and in cooperation with an international organization is now working on the preparation of an alternative camp for al-Tuehina camp under better environmental and organizational conditions compared to the conditions in the camp of al-Tuehina, which was established in difficult and accelerating conditions.
