Residents complain of bad road in Qamishlo's entrance, Municipality work on repairing it

The eastern entrance of Qamishlo city is the main entrance to the city where thousands of vehicles and trucks enter and exit this entrance every day.

The People's Municipality in Qamishlo city carried out a large project to widen the road by 5 meters from both sides of the road. However, the project was not completed, and the road was not paved, causing the drilling to be filled with mud and water during winter, and the rise of dust in summer.

The residents and drivers suffered from bad road during winter when the water gathered in the pits, and the dust spread during the passage of vehicles led to several traffic accidents.

"We suffer a lot from this road, where the dust rise in the atmosphere of the area, which leads to blocking the vision and the outbreak of accidents, which happened daily." The citizen Majid Abdein of al-Jamayia neighborhood said,

"We can no longer tolerate the dust that fills our homes, and no one can stay in this neighborhood because of the dust that surrounds the neighborhood," Ayman Sulaiman said. Sulaiman appealed to the competent authorities to consider this problem and take the necessary measures. "

Abdul Latif Ramadan, criticized the municipality for not completing the project completely, especially that the municipality began the project to expand the road 9 months ago, but has not been completed so far, and the municipality has stopped working for more than two months. He also noted the lack of traffic signals on the road.

Ramadan called on the People's Municipality to intervene urgently, because the continuation of the situation on what will lead to injury to parents diseases.

According to the citizen Mustafa Suleiman, the residents have so far submitted 3 complaints to the People's Municipality called for a temporary solution to this problem, through spraying the water route twice a day until completion of the project, but the municipality has not yet responded to the request.

Officials at the People's Municipality refused to speak in front of the camera, but they confirmed verbally that they were going to study the problem and solve it soon.
