KYC’s office announces its participation in Başûr youth’s conference

The Kurdish Youth Coordination in Rojava released a statement to the public about preparations by the young Assyrian youth for a conference of Middle Eastern youth.

The statement was read by the spokesperson of the coordination, Amad Mamo, at its center in Qamishlo city attended by representatives of the youth organizations in Rojava.

The text of the statement:

At the invitation of the young people of Başûr Kurdistan, a conference is held for the young people of the Middle East and the preparations are underway. We, as the Young Kurds in Rojava, support this initiative and announce our participation in the conference.

We consider the introduction of the Youth of Başûr as an initiative to discuss the crisis in the Middle East and the problems of young people and ways to solve them, and we consider it a positive step towards success. The developments that negatively affected the youth during the wars and conflicts in the Middle East will open a bright path for the young people.

We, as the young Kurds in Rojava, see this step above all as preparation for the necessity of convening the national youth conference. We are convinced that this conference will be a solution to the crises in the Middle East and all four parts of Kurdistan. For this, we once again call for the convening of the Kurdistan national congress.

On this basis, we consider the Union of Peoples in the Middle East as an important step, and we see that the division of Kurdistan and the plans followed by the occupiers of Kurdistan, we see that the only way to repel the occupiers is the union of peoples for the failure of plans on Kurdistan and the Middle East.

Hundreds of years ago, the occupying powers, under the name of power, religion and doctrine, have struck the peoples of the region together. It is time to understand the dirty schemes that are being hatched against us through the cohesion of the peoples, these plans will be foiled. The revolution of west Kurdistan and the building of the democratic federalism in North Syria are an answer to these schemes and an example to be followed by the Middle East. The Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Armenians, Turkmen, Yezidis, Muslims and Christians coexist with each other, on the basis of culture, identity and language. They build and protect the heritage of the revolution.

On this basis, we are in solidarity with the call of the young Başûr Kurdistan, and we appeal to all young people of the region "Arab, Syriac, Turkmen, Yezidi youth" to join to this conference.

It is worth mentioning that the Kurdish youth coordination in Rojava includes youth representatives from 16 political parties and 5 youth organizations in Rojava.
