Launching of 5th Rojava's festival of Culture and Art

A while Ago, the festival of Rojava for Culture and Art was launched, aiming to revive the Kurdish culture and literature under the slogan “We are all Afrin” to revive the spirit of Resistance of the Age .

KOBANI

In Nawroz Hall, south of Kobani city 24 poets participate in the festival, along with two sculptors, by presenting poetry passages in addition to the display of paintings.

Number of writers and intellectuals from Kobani canton, and theater teams attended the festival, which scheduled to make theater performances during the festival

The Co-chair of the Kobani council Marwa Dreie, and Democratic Union Party’s administrators, as well as administrators of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic party attened the festival.

The Co-chair of the Union of Kurdish Intellectuals in Rojava Ahmed Hussieni delivered the opening speech, saying "Rojava's festival is for the revival of Kurdish culture and to strengthen the roots of cultural diversity after we were holding the festival in Germany and to exchange views among intellectuals, poets and writers in Rojava."

Then a documentary film by the Union of Kurdish Intellectuals in Rojava was presented about the history of the Union since the "Qamishlo Uprising" and the great role played by the Union in Europe and Kurdistan to communicate the voice of the Kurdish people to public opinion.

The first festival of Rojava for Culture and Art was organized in the German city of Pubertal in 2014
