Hassen Koçer: Syrian people must stand against occupiers

The meeting started with holding a minute of silence, and then, the administrator of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM) Hassen Koçer said, "People's revolution in Syria was peaceful at the beginning, but after the intervention of the foreign countries headed by Turkey, the course of the Syrian revolution deviated. Turkey want to divide Syria and not resolve it peacefully, and its occupying Afrin and other areas in North Syria is a proof of Turkish ambitions."

He added "Turkey's history is full of massacres against the peoples, especially the massacre of the Armenians. The last occupation in Afrin aims to change the geography of Syria and Afrin's demography. The occupation says that it is fighting terrorism, but the whole world must know that Turkey is the center of terrorism."

Koçer called on the Syrian people to repel the occupation attempt and the division of the country and said, "The countries conspiring against the Syrian people are meeting continuously, in particular to divide the country and distribution according to areas of influence, and the Syrian people are experiencing genocide for 7 years, and they were forced to displace without serious efforts provided to them to stop the bleeding of the Syrian blood, and the Syrian people with all components have to organize themselves, and to unite against the occupying forces."

Koçer concluded, "The Syrian people, with all components must unite against any project that wants to divide Syria and they must stand together against the occupying colonial powers."
