115,000 tons of wheat delivered in Jazira since beginning of season

The Silos and Mills Committee under the Economic and Agriculture Council in the Jazira Canton reported that the amount of wheat received from farmers since the beginning of the harvest season has reached 115,000 tons.

The committee announced that the wheat deliveries from farmers have totaled 115,000 tons since the launch of the harvest season.

The committee explained that the delivery process is proceeding smoothly at all designated centers, with a steady flow of trucks arriving from various areas of the canton.

The statement noted that the quantities received so far are encouraging, with delivery centers located in Hasaka, Qamishlo, Derik, and Tirbespiye. Quality tests are conducted, and prices are determined based on the quality of the crop as part of efforts to support local production and strengthen food security by ensuring a stable strategic wheat reserve.

The Silos and Mills Committee had earlier announced its readiness to receive the wheat harvest at eight centers, in a move aimed at facilitating the supply process and easing the burden on farmers.
