YPJ salutes leader's birthday, its founding anniversary with military parade

The Women's Protection Units (YPJ) held a military parade in Kobani to commemorate their 14th anniversary and the birthday of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, at the Martyr Sido Stadium in Kobani.

During the parade, YPJ commander Dilbrin Kobani delivered a speech congratulating the units' establishment anniversary, paying tribute to the martyrs, leader Abdullah Ocalan, and all women struggling for freedom.

Dilbrin Kobani affirmed that they would continue their struggle to achieve freedom, stability, and security in their city, stating, "Whatever the cost, we will escalate our struggle and continue our journey with all our strength until we establish our place within Syria. We have taken up arms and will continue to protect our people from the attacks and aggression of our enemies. Our struggle is a struggle for freedom."

She explained: "We are confident in our strength and will continue the struggle until victory. We will not allow injustice to be repeated against our people. We draw our strength from our leader, and we will continue the struggle for the freedom of our people and our leader until we see him among us."

After the military parade ended, the female fighters marched towards Free Women's Square and then proceeded to the house where leader Abdullah Ocalan lived in the village of Alblour in the city of Kobani.
