The Yazidi Women's Union in Rojava issued a written statement about the "Humanity and Security" operation, the third phase of which was announced today in al-Hol Camp, after its launch last January 27.

The statement of the Yazidi Women's Union stated at the beginning: The security and military forces in North and East Syria, represented by the Syrian Democratic Forces and all the forces under its banner, the Women's Protection Units, and the Internal Security Forces, are making tremendous efforts to maintain security and stability in the region.

The "Humanity and Security" operation, which was launched in al-Hol Camp in its third phase, is considered one of the operations in which we greatly value the efforts of all participants, and those who made sacrifices in order to rid the people of the region and the entire world from the terrorism of ISIS mercenaries.

The statement continued by talking about the importance of the operation: “As the operation that was launched on January 27, 2024, had clear goals, which were to undermine the threat of ISIS and eliminate its cells that carry out assassinations and organize terrorist operations, in addition to eliminating extremist thought, and ridding Yazidi women from the clutches of terrorism ".

The Yazidi Women’s Union, in its statement, saluted the fighters of the Women’s Protection Units for freeing the young Yazidi woman, Kovan Eido, from the hands of ISIS, and said: “On this occasion, after announcing the end of the third phase of the operation, we extend our warm greetings to the fighters of the Women’s Protection Units, who worked to free the young Yazidi woman, Kovan Eido, from the hands of ISIS darkness after 10 years of torment.

Concluding his statement: “We affirm that we, in the Yazidi Women’s Union in Rojava, will remain alongside our fighters and support their resistance and efforts in all places. We renew our pledge that we will remain committed to the martyrs of the 74 firmans and all the martyrs of freedom to avenge them and move forward on the path of struggle and resistance.”
