Women affirm "call for peace outlines features of next stage"

The Kongra Star organized a women's rally in the city of Hasaka in Jazira region, demanding the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and emphasizing that his call for peace is fundamental to shaping the next phase. The rally was held under the slogan, "With Communal Spirit, the Democratic Society, We Will Live Freely with the Leader Apo."

Hundreds of women from various cities participated in the rally; al-Shaddadi, Tel Tamr, al-Hol, ed-Dirbasiyah, and Hasaka, as the participants raised banners with "Women, life, freedom will achieve the right to hope," and "With the philosophy of women, life, freedom, we will build a democratic Syria," written on, alongside flags bearing the image of leader Abdullah Ocalan, chanting slogans such as "Freedom for the Nation's Leader" and "No Life without the Leader."

The march began at al-Hamama Roundabout in Tel Hajar neighborhood and proceeded towards the Martyr Serhed Roundabout in al-Mufti neighborhood. Upon reaching the roundabout, the march transformed into a public gathering, where Khalida Bouti, the member of the Kongra Star Coordination, delivered a speech in Kurdish, discussing the role of leader Abdullah Ocalan in achieving women's freedom.

She added, "Despite 27 years having passed since the leader's imprisonment on Imrali Island, he is still deprived of the right to hope." She made clear that despite the call for peace and the democratic society he launched on February 27th of this year, the Turkish state has not taken any positive steps to date.

She emphasized that women are escalating their struggle until the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved.

For her part, Badriya Mohamed, the member of the Kongra Star Coordination in al-Hol, delivered a speech in Arabic, affirming that "the call for peace and the democratic society" launched by the leader carries a rich message that outlines the features of the next phase.

She added, "However, the Turkish state has not taken any steps towards this peace process, including implementing the right to hope, which is guaranteed by international conventions and laws."

Badriya Mohamed concluded her speech by saying, "Today, we stand via the will of free women to affirm that the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is our goal in the arena of struggle."

The march ended with chanting the slogan, "No Life without the Leader."
