Warnings of 4 political prisoners' deteriorating health in Iran

A report issued by the Voice of Kurdish and Iranian Detainees Center stated that security pressures on political prisoners in Yazd Prison have escalated significantly recently, directly impacting their health conditions, according to Roj News Agency.

The report indicated that the political activist Zeinab Jalalian, sentenced to life imprisonment, is considered one of the longest-serving female political prisoners in Iran, having been imprisoned since 2007, as since years, she has been suffering from chronic and serious illnesses that have worsened due to the lack of necessary medical care.

Three other political prisoners face similar conditions; Parisa Kamali, Dr. Hamid Qerhessenlo, and Hejjat Ali Zadegan. They suffer from unstable health conditions and are denied access to treatment.

The report added that the authorities have cut off these prisoners' contact with their families, while simultaneously tightening security measures against them. It also noted that some are left incommunicado under various pretexts, including "disappearance," exacerbating concerns about their safety and placing their lives in immediate danger.
