Raqqa hosts art exhibition for children returning from al-Hol Camp

As part of a plan to reintegrate children returning from al-Hol Camp into society, the Social Care Center in Raqqa held the exhibition at its headquarters in the city.

The event witnessed broad participation from the children’s families, members of the center, and the 16 children who took part.

The exhibition is a result of a month of intensive training in drawing and calligraphy, aimed at helping the children reintegrate into the community. During this time, the children learned how to express their feelings and ideas through colors and letters.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by the co-chairs of the Social Care Center, Naima Mohammed and Mohammed Nour al-Fanir, after which attendees toured the exhibition. The artworks, both simple and profound, told silent stories of the children’s hopes and dreams, reflecting themes such as homeland, peace, and nature.

At the end of the exhibition, the Social Care Center distributed school bags to the participating children as an encouraging gesture to motivate them to continue learning, creating, and moving forward toward a brighter future.
