The Kurdistan Liberation Movement announced in a statement the arrival of a group of Guerrilla fighters in Qandil Mountains, in accordance with the decisions of the 12th Conference of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and in the context of strengthening the call for peace and building a democratic society.

The statement affirmed, "In accordance with the decisions of the 12th Conference of the Party and with the approval of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, we announce the withdrawal of our forces from within Turkey's borders in areas that may witness potential escalation or provocations to the Medya Defense Zones. Thus, precautionary measures are being taken in the contact areas to avoid any clashes."
