Practical measures to be taken on July 11th to implement outcomes recent PKK conference

Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Spokesperson Ayşe Gül Doğan stated that they will travel to Sulaymaniyah, Southern Kurdistan, on July 11 to participate in the PKK's special ceremony.

Ayşe Gül Doğan Doğan said that Turkey is going through a pivotal and historic phase, noting that the party is not content with the role of witness to this phase, but rather considers itself a bearer of moral and vital responsibility. She added, "We are defending life, and for the possibility of ending war and conflict, we are entering a sensitive phase today, and the responsibility falls on every individual."

In a related context, she referred to the historic appeal made by Leader Abdullah Ocalan, saying, "After 26 years, a video recording of Mr. Abdullah Ocalan was broadcast from Imrali Prison, followed by continuous statements and messages that are gaining increasing attention from international public opinion."

Ayşe Gül Doğan emphasized that the Kurdish issue has transcended the Turkish framework and has become an issue with regional and international dimensions, adding, "We have said for years that the key to a solution and lasting peace lies with Mr. Abdullah Ocalan. Today we are at a moment that may determine the shape of the next century for Turkey and the region."

She explained that the practical procedures for implementing the outcomes of the recent Kurdistan Workers' Party conference, scheduled to be held in Sulaymaniyah, will be attended by representatives of the party, along with the party's co-presidency.
