Mass march kicks off in Qamishlo to condemn international conspiracy

In commemoration of the 26th anniversary of the international conspiracy hatched against leader Abdullah Ocalan on October 9, 1998, the mass march began in Qamishlo from Osman Sabri Square.

Thousands of residents from cities in Jazera Canton (Tal Koçer, Dêrik, Qamishlo, Amuda, Girkê Legê, Çil Agha and Tirbespî) participated in the march, representing various communities (Kurds, Arabs, and Syriacs), along with representatives from political parties and the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Jazera Canton.

Participants raised pictures of leader Abdullah Ocalan and banners that read: "Freedom for leader Abdullah Ocalan," "Political solution for the Kurdish issue," "With the spirit of prison resistance, we will liberate leader Ocalan," "The freedom of leader Apo is from the freedom of the struggling peoples," "We condemn and denounce the international conspiracy against leader Abdullah Ocalan and demand his physical freedom," and "With the spirit of Imrali, we thwarted the October 9 conspiracy." Some mothers wore shirts that said, "Freedom for leader Abdullah Ocalan."

The participants chanted slogans like "No life without the leader," "Long live Imrali resistance," while raising victory signs.

The march will culminate in a mass gathering upon reaching the Martyr Robar Square near the Muhammad Sheikho Center for Culture and Arts.
