Today, the lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office, Suzan Akipa, Ibrahim Bilmez, Imran Emekçi, and Cengiz Yurekli, submitted a new request to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Bursa, Turkey, and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with their clients: leader Abdullah Ocalan, Omer Khairi Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş. These detainees have been subjected to a system of torture and extermination imposed by Turkey for more than three years.

The lawyers submit two requests every week to the Bursa Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with them, yet they receive no response to their requests.

The system of torture and extermination in Imrali continues, and leader Abdullah Ocalan is being denied his rights even as a prisoner.
