Kongra Star concludes its annual meeting by developing a work plan for year 2024

Kongra Star held its annual meeting to discuss the work it accomplished during the current year, in the Democratic Union Party hall in the Mushayrifa neighborhood in the city of Hasakah.

The meeting was attended by representatives of women's organizations in various political, military, and social fields.

The meeting began with a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, then the spokeswoman for Kongra Star, Amira al-Saad, in the al-Shaddadi district, read the directives of leader Abdullah Ocalan to women and said: “Women around the world must fight until the last breath for their freedom, and continue to resist and struggle until the end. Until they are freed from all the restrictions imposed on them, because a free woman can manage her affairs by the power of her will.”

For her part, the administrator at Kongra Star in the Tal Tamr district, Madeleine al-Obaid, read the organizational and political situation, the annual report, the status of women, and the plan and program for next year.

Then the discussion was opened for the attendees to discuss the work completed and the obstacles their work faced during the year.

The meeting concluded by setting plans for work next year, 2024:

1- Follow up on the activation of women’s communes.

2- Activating the female component in the Public Prosecution in Zerghan, Arisha and al-Hasakah.

3- Opening Kongra Star centers in the towns of al-Hol, Umm al-Hujaira and Lake al-Khatuniya.

4- Training children in all regions.

5- Increasing the number of female members within training committees.

6- Increasing the number of members of the Schler Nodem Committee and opening the Women’s Endowment Office in Serêkaniyêc amp.

7- Violence campaigns against women.

8- Fully activating the co-chairmanship system in Zerghan institutions.”
