KJK salutes resistance of Şernak against private war
KJK expressed its pride in the democratic revolution showed by the people of northern Kurdistan in the municipal elections, by saying: "Women's movements and democratic mass organizations, motivated by protection and self -defense, must mobilize all possibilities against special war practices. "
The Coordinator of the Kurdish Women Movement (KJK) issued a written statement regarding the resistance of martial defense of the people of Şernak in the face of the crime of sexual assault against a Kurdish woman by a mercenary belonging to the Turkish occupation state.
The text of the statement as follows:
"The occupation attacks carried out by the government of the Justice and Development Party and the Fascist National Movement Party, within the framework of the plan to defeat the struggle of our people, and trying to deprive the Kurdish people of all values and self -defense tools.
That is why, the tyrannical system implements its occupation plan in all fields, and the fascist system resort to the parties of justice, development and the national movement, which hosts the peoples of the noble Kurdistan, women and honorable Kurdish youth, whose names have emerged with their self -defense and their unparalleled resistance in the history of the world and humanity in order to destroy the free Kurdish people and the free life that was created with the resistance that extends for 50 years.
" Kurdish, Arab, Turkish, Persian, Armenian and Assyrian women now have the ability to determine their fate and this frightened all models and forces of hegemony and patriarchy. That is why, anti-revolutionary and patriarchal forces in the region, represented by the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement, are working to develop an alliance against Kurdish women and the liberation movement, so hundreds of thousands of soldiers, police, mercenaries, village guards, spies, and their followers are deployed in Kurdistan, as a force of rape and violence against women to prevent any solution for the democratic nation based on women’s freedom in the East.
The anti-revolutionary and military forces are working to militarize the lives of Turkish, Arab and Persian women by commiting the genocidal attacks and sexual assaults against Kurdish women."
Democratic revolutionary elections took place in Turkey and Kurdistan, and our people showed an outstanding example of self-defense with their wonderful uprising against the proxies. Among the places that were occupied in the most brutal manner was Şernak where the will of the people was raped on election day by the tyrannical regime. The fascist movement of the Justice and Development Party and the National Movement through an occupation campaign, and if one believed that only the will of the people of Şernak was usurped, then that would be a big mistake. The will of the entire country has been seized, and in this sense, the measure of the success of democratic elections is to restore the stolen will of the people of Şernak through the struggle of all democratic and opposition forces.
Shortly after the elections, the mercenaries of sexual crimes began waging a special war against Kurdish women, and we are very proud of the democratic revolution. Which our people demonstrated in the elections and in the self-defense resistance of the people of Şernak, and we salute the resistance. History has shown once again that there is no power or state greater than the people. It has been proven once again that the Kurdish people have an invincible will."
Accordingly, this is our call to all the peoples of Kurdistan, women, feminist movements and youth. Everyone must enlighten and educate their neighbors, comrades, children and friends in confronting private war policies, This is a battle of honor and we must never tolerate infringement on our dignity. Every Kurdish citizen must respond directly with self-defense against drug, prostitution, and sexual assault organizations that target Kurdish women and youth. No Kurdish woman should tolerate attacks on her honor, and she must defend herself.
On this basis, we call on the women's movements, the peoples of the four parts of Kurdistan, and the Democratic Front in Turkey not to remain alone in facing the occupation attacks against the people of Şernak, In this sense, Şernak is Amed, Eleh, Mush, Raha, Merdin, Eder, Istanbul, Izmir, Mersin, and it is Rojava, and southern and eastern Kurdistan. Let us make Şernak a center for the democratic struggle and raise the pace of women’s resistance in honorable Bhutan.”
For its part, the Women's Council of the Equality and Peoples' Democracy Party (DEM Partî) held the Turkish occupation state responsible "for the harassment incident that occurred in Şernak and the events that followed it."
