KJK pledges to achieve people's brotherhood in farewell to Onder

The Kurdistan Women's Organization issued a condolence message following the passing of Sari Sarya Onder, a parliamentarian from the People's Equality and Democracy Party and a member of the Imrali delegation, who passed away on Saturday after an 18-day treatment journey.

The Kurdistan Women's Organization expressed its deep sorrow over the loss of "the dear friend, companion, and peace advocate for the Kurdish people, who followed the revolutionary tradition of the Turkmen people’s Baba Iskak," offering condolences to leader Abdullah Ocalan, the late Onder's mother, his family, and all peoples.

The statement added: "Comrade Haki Karker and Kemal Pir were among the first companions of leader Abdullah Ocalan, the beloved sons of the Turkish people. Similarly, Sari Sarya Onder, from the esteemed Turkmen people, was a companion in the search for peace. Sari Sarya Onder exemplified brotherhood and freedom, standing against those who seek to divide peoples through toxic nationalism and the perpetuation of a murderous system. The peace legacy created by this peace seeker, a figure of freedom and equality, Sari Sarya Onder, has once again shown great humanity for this land. By continuing this great humanity and loyalty to his memory, we can develop the great struggle for peace and crown it with victory. Our comrade carried the heavy burden of the Kurdish people and dedicated his life to peace, placing the struggle for peace at the forefront, and he died with the dedication and eternal fight for peace. Thus, our comrade Sari Sarya Onder has left us with a significant responsibility. Continuing his humanity and embracing it is our duty. Peoples, Turkish politicians, and intellectuals saw brotherhood, companionship, and the beauty of peace in the person of Sari Sarya Onder and made him a model for themselves. We must adopt his struggle, and it is a historical responsibility to escalate and bring the beauty of peace to this land.

We bid farewell to Sari Sarya Onder with the promise of achieving the brotherhood of peoples, freedom, and equality between peoples, and we will always commemorate his memory. He is an eternal figure of companionship and the most meaningful friendship in our struggle."
