ISF dismantles 15-kg explosive device west of Deir ez-Zor

The Internal Security Forces published information on its official website that mine and explosives experts were able to dismantle and defuse an explosive device prepared for detonation west of Deir ez-Zor, on Sunday evening (November 17).

The forces reported that the General Security Forces had received information that "there was a suspicious object on the edges of the main road in the town of Muhaymida, west of Deir ez-Zor", where the forces rushed to form a patrol with the participation of mine experts and security personnel and head to the aforementioned place located near the town of Muhaymida.

And added that the forces imposed a security cordon around the place and cut the traffic for the safety of passers-by, to then inspect the object, to find out that there is a device prepared and equipped for remote detonation and weighs approximately 15 kilograms of high explosive TNT, which was dismantled and neutralized safely, noting that there is no significant damage between "our forces and citizens", to be transferred to a safe place designated to complete the dismantling and destruction operations.
