YJA-STAR leader: Women's movements must focus on self-defense

On the occasion of the upcoming November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, Shafaq Arin, leader in the Central Command of the Free Women's Units - Star, called on all women's organizations and movements to strengthen their defensive systems.

Shafaq Arin, in an interview with the ANF news agency, stated that self-defense against the Third World War being waged in the Middle East, targeting women at a level amounting to genocide, is a mission that cannot be postponed.

She added: "There must be locally organized defensive organizations and shared policies. All women's organizations and those seeking freedom must recognize this reality and base their activities on self-defense. Without self-defense, achievements cannot be sustained, systems cannot be protected, nor can the ruling system be challenged. Everyone must be fully prepared to protect themselves, their lives, their streets, their homeland, and their rights. This is the only effective solution for the Middle East."

She also called on all women's organizations and movements on the occasion of November 25: "Everyone must seriously participate in developing cooperation and enhancing the work of the Self-Defense Center.
