HPG congratulates Leader Ocalan’s birth

The People's Defense Forces (HPG) congratulated the birth of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and affirmed their commitment to continue the struggle with determination and persistence to achieve his physical freedom.

The HPG Media Center issued a statement today, saying:

“We congratulate Leader Apo, who paved the way for a dignified and free life, on April 4, the anniversary of his birth. We extend our congratulations first and foremost to Leader Apo, our patriotic people, and all our comrades in all areas of struggle. We wish success to all our people, comrades, and friends in their fight for the liberation of Leader Apo. On behalf of the freedom fighters of Kurdistan, we renew our pledge to continue our struggle with determination and persistence to achieve this goal.”

The People's Defense Forces also published details of the attacks carried out by the Turkish occupation army and our fighters' response:

“Turkish occupation army airstrikes:

On April 3, Turkish warplanes bombed the resistance areas of Derkel and Beshil in the Metina region three times, and the resistance area of Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area, west of  Zap twice, a total of five airstrikes.

Turkish occupation army attacks with heavy weapons, artillery, and shelling:

On April 3 and 4, the resistance areas of Kendekola, Bri Zain, and Lolan in the Khakurk region were targeted 28 times, the areas of Zivke, Derash, Mije, Spindar, and Karkash in the Garê region 51 times, the resistance area of Serê Metina in the Metina region 109 times, and the resistance areas of Amadiya Hill and Bahar Hill in the Martyr Delil area, west of Zap 254 times, making a total of 442 bombardments with heavy weapons, artillery, and shells.

Our forces’ intervention in the attacks:

On April 3 at 10:05 a.m., our forces shot down a drone that had been sent to bomb the resistance tunnels in the Bahar Hill resistance area in the Martyr Delil region, west of Zap through a sniper operation.
