Since the beginning of this year, traffic accidents in North and East Syria have resulted in the death and injury of around 1,750 people, due to several reasons, chiefly speeding, mobile phone use while driving, and minors operating vehicles, despite the fines imposed by the "Traffic Police" on drivers for non-compliance with these regulations.
