First groups of Syrians return from Lebanon to NE Syria today
Today, the first groups of Syrians returning from Lebanon are arriving in the regions of NE Syria, coordinated by the Democratic Autonomous Administration's representative office in Lebanon.

The recent military escalation between Israel and Hezbollah has driven tens of thousands of Syrians, who either work in Lebanon or fled there at the onset of the Syrian crisis, to return home after the latest escalation resulted in hundreds of deaths.
From a humanitarian standpoint, the representative office in Lebanon has taken on the responsibility of facilitating the return of Syrians wishing to come back to the region. A committee was formed to oversee the affairs of Syrian refugees on September 24, specifically for those from the areas of NE Syria.
The first groups of refugees from the region are expected to arrive in their areas today after crossing the Lebanese-Syrian border and passing through areas controlled by the Damascus government toward the regions of NE Syria. This is being done in coordination with the Democratic Autonomous Administration’s representative office in Lebanon, allowing them to enter the region via the crossing that connects the city of Tabqa with areas controlled by the Damascus government.
As of now, the exact timing of the returnees' arrival has not been specified, while dozens of families from the region await their loved ones at the Tabqa crossing.
The representative office in Lebanon has begun registering the names of those wishing to return and is organizing special trips for them to the region in groups.
Return trips for the refugees are being organized via buses, which will transport them at "half the usual cost" following the suspension of flights between Qamishlo and Beirut.
Abdul Salam Ahmed, the representative of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in Lebanon, previously stated: "The representative office has formed a committee to provide assistance and support to those refugees from Rojava and NE Syria in Lebanon, as well as to coordinate the affairs of returning refugees to NE Syria.”
