As part of the celebrations for International Women's Day, observed annually on March 8, Kongra Star organized the first event in the city of Darbasiyah, located in the Jazera Canton, by holding a special meeting for women in the city.

The meeting took place in the hall of the city's Center for Culture and Art, attended by dozens of local women, members of civil institutions, councils, and the Internal Security Forces.

The event began with a moment of silence in tribute to the martyrs. Following this, Fatima Kalash, an administrative member of Kongra Star in Darbasiyah, delivered a speech in which she congratulated women around the world, especially the struggling women who have made great sacrifices for justice and freedom.

The philosophy of "Women, Life, Freedom" has strengthened women's role in society

In her speech, Fatima Kalash stated that March 8 is a day for women's unity and the escalation of the struggle for freedom and justice.

She emphasized that the philosophy of "Women, Life, Freedom," adopted by Leader Abdullah Ocalan, has strengthened the role of women in societies worldwide, particularly in North and East Syria.

She added that this philosophy has become a guiding principle for women, as they have played a leading role in the July 19 Revolution, which marked a significant turning point in the region.

She concluded her speech by vowing to continue the struggle in line with the philosophy of Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the path of the martyrs until freedom is achieved.
