In a move that reflects humanitarian solidarity, an aid convoy departed from North and East Syria this evening for the Syrian coast. The convoy, provided by the Kurdish Red Crescent and grassroots initiatives, aims to extend a helping hand to the people of the region.

This convoy represents a first step, with the organizing authorities confirming the continuation of relief efforts in the coming stages.

The convoy, which consists of 20 trucks, includes relief supplies and basic food items such as flour, rice, bulgur, and canned goods, in addition to other emergency supplies.

Lalish Sheikho, an administrator at the Kurdish Red Crescent and a member of the delegation accompanying the convoy, said, "This aid comes at a time when the Syrian coast has become a disaster area, and the people there are in dire need of material and moral support."

He added, "We at the Kurdish Red Crescent, in cooperation with grassroots initiatives and civil society organizations, are striving to provide assistance to our people on the Syrian coast. This convoy is the first, and others will follow."

He pointed out that a delegation from the Kurdish Red Crescent is accompanying the convoy until it is handed over to the relevant authorities in Latakia, who will distribute it to those affected.

It is worth noting that the people of North and East Syria and the Democratic Autonomous Administration have not hesitated to provide humanitarian aid in times of crisis, whether natural disasters such as earthquakes or crimes against civilians, reflecting the spirit of solidarity among the Syrian people.

On the other hand, ANHA agency's correspondent reported that the Damascus authorities stipulated the removal of the Kurdish Red Crescent logo from the convoy as a condition for its passage. The logo was replaced with the names of cities in NE,Syria, a move aimed at facilitating the flow of aid despite political challenges.

This humanitarian initiative remains a confirmation that the helping hand extends from the far NE, Syria to the Syrian coast, at a time when the Syrian people need all forms of support and solidarity.
