Around 866 Iraqi refugees leave Al-Hol Camp

The administration of Al-Hol Camp in North and East Syria organized a new trip for a group of Iraqi refugees wishing to return to their homeland. The group included 241 families, totaling around 866 individuals.

As part of the coordination between the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Migration and Displacement Committee of the Iraqi Parliament, a new group of Iraqi families residing in Al-Hol Camp, located south of Hasakah in the Jazira Canton, was returned to Iraq today.

This latest group, which is the eighth to be repatriated to Iraq since the beginning of this year, consisted of 241 families, with approximately 866 individuals.

The convoy departed a short while ago toward Iraqi territory under tight security provided by the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria, and with monitoring by the International Coalition.
