AANES: we provide necessary for refugees from Lebanon according to our capabilities
The co-chair of the Social Affairs and and Toilers Authority in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Maryam Ibrahim, clarified that the autonomous administration continues to receive returnees from Lebanon and is working on providing the necessary services, calling for the opening of the Tel Kocher/Al-Yarubiyah crossing to overcome difficulties and provide better support.

Since the escalation of military conflict in Lebanon, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria has announced its readiness to welcome arrivals from Lebanon, whether they are Syrians or Lebanese. It has also formed a Crisis Cell specifically for returnees from Lebanon to receive them and facilitate their arrival in the region.
The Autonomous Administration and the Crisis Cell have designated centers to shelter those returning from outside the region of North and East Syria.
The number of arrivals from Lebanon to the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria reached 19,502 people, 74 of whom hold Lebanese nationality and 19 bodies, according to the latest statistics issued by the Crisis Cell.
The Autonomous Administration seeks to provide the necessary support according to its capabilities through the Social Affairs and Toilers Authority by collecting the data of returnees.
Regarding the services provided by the Autonomous Administration to those returning from Lebanon to the North and East Syria region, the co-chair of the Social Affairs and Toilers Authority in the administration, Maryam Ibrahim, said that the authority's committees received returnees in all districts of the region and worked on distributing those returning from outside the region to the camps.
Maryam Ibrahim explained: "The autonomous administration has taken care of all the needs of the returnees, including food, fuel, and medical care, and covers all their requirements. The communes are working on counting the returning families to provide them with their service needs."
Maryam Ibrahim explained that the autonomous administration bears a great responsibility, despite the pressure it faces, yet it continues to propose initiatives for the return of refugees and displaced persons, and it does what it can independently.
Maryam Ibrahim explained in her talk "the autonomous administration bears the burdens of the returnees with very limited resources, and we try as much as possible to provide the basic necessities and services for the returnees."
The co-chair of the Social Affairs and Toilers Authority criticized international organizations in her speech for not fulfilling their duties and providing any serious support to these returnees, and for not seriously considering the humanitarian situation in the region of North and East Syria.
In her speech, Maryam Ibrahim pointed out the continued closure of humanitarian crossings towards the region, especially the Tel Kocher/Al-Yaroubiya crossing, which is considered the lifeline of the area. She called on the United Nations to open the crossing to overcome many challenges and difficulties.
