7,000 food baskets distributed to needy families in Hasakah

The Kurdish Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Kurdistan Red Crescent, distributed 7,000 food baskets in Hasakah as part of a humanitarian initiative targeting the most needy families. The campaign is set to expand across various cities in Rojava, with a total distribution expected to reach between 20,000 and 25,000 food baskets.

As part of ongoing humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting needy families and alleviating living burdens, the Kurdish Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Kurdistan Red Crescent, began today distributing food baskets to the most vulnerable families in different neighborhoods of Hasakah city, with the initiative later set to extend to other cities in Rojava.

According to the Kurdish Red Crescent, the allocated quantity for Hasakah amounts to 7,000 food baskets, which will be distributed gradually over the coming days to cover various areas of the city and reach needy families.

It added that the initiative will not be limited to Hasakah, but will extend to other cities in Rojava, where between 20,000 and 25,000 food baskets are planned to be distributed to vulnerable groups, widows, and people with chronic illnesses, as part of humanitarian efforts aimed at supporting residents and easing difficult living conditions.
