53 citizens abducted in occupied Afrin during September

The Violations Documentation Center documented the abduction of dozens of citizens in occupied Afrin by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state. The center published the names of 53 citizens abducted during the past month of September, as follows:

“On September 1, 2024: 

Mercenaries of the National Army kidnapped three Kurdish civilian citizens in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in Afrin city. They are: "Abdo Mohammed Al-Araj /35 years old from the village of 'Umrah' in Sharran district, Thuraya Mohammed, Ahmed Haider Jilo /50 years old" from the village of Simalka in Maabatli district. They were taken to an unknown destination, and their fate remains unknown.

Mercenaries of the National Army’s “Military Police” kidnapped the citizen Ziad Hussein bin Omar (43 years old), from the town of Midanki in Sharran district, from his home in Afrin city. After returning to the city three months ago, he was taken to an unknown location, and his fate remains unknown.

Mercenaries of the National Army’s "Sultan Murad Division" kidnapped the citizen "Nuri Mousa Mousa" because he demanded the return of his house, which had been seized since 2018, next to the former customs building in Afrin city, after he was forcibly deported from Turkey.

Mercenaries of the National Army kidnapped the citizen "Walid Mohammed Maamo Mada, 51 years old" from the village of Hammam, residing in Jindires city. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown.

Mercenaries of the National Army (Military

Police) kidnapped the citizen "Dilo Mohammed Dawood, 38 years old," from his home near Bilal Mosque in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in Afrin city. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown.

Mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizen "Mohammed Mohammed Mesto Sheikh Kilo, 35 years old," from his home near Bilal Mosque in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in Afrin city. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown.

On September 4, 2024: 

At dawn, the mercenaries of the National Army (Political Security) raided citizens' homes in the village of Deir Ballut in Jindires district and randomly kidnapped several citizens. Those identified include: "Ahmed Mohammed Nour Habash (47 years old), Mustafa Taher Abdo (45 years old), Imad Ahmed Hanan (25 years old)," and Noorjan, the daughter of Mustafa Taher Abdo (22 years old).

On September 5, 2024: 

Mercenaries of the National Army kidnapped the citizens "Idris Hussein Hanan, 51 years old, Hanan Hussein Hanan, 39 years old," from Bulbul district, two days after their arrival from Lebanon. They were taken to an unknown destination.

On September 6, 2024: 

Mercenaries of the National Army’s "Political Security" randomly kidnapped several citizens during the raid and search of the village of Deir Ballut in Jindires district. Those identified include: "Ahmed Mohammed Nour Habash (47 years old), Mustafa Taher Abdo (45 years old), Omar Ahmed Hanan (25 years old)."

Mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped two citizens from the village of Baadina in Maabatli district in Afrin countryside. They are: "Walid Mustafa Shaban, 40 years old, and Khalil Sheikh Sidi." They were taken to an unknown destination, and their fate remains unknown.

On September 7, 2024: 

Mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police) kidnapped the citizens: "Mohammed Mahmoud Othman /38 years old, Mahmoud Mahmoud Othman /43 years old," from their home in the Ashrafieh neighborhood in Afrin city, and citizen Salah Ahmed /50 years old from the village of Simala Midono in Rajo city.

Mercenaries of the National Army kidnapped the citizen Farhad Hassan Rashid (born in 1986), from Sharran district, from his home on Mazout Highway in Afrin city. He recently returned to the city and was taken to an unknown destination.

Mercenaries of the National Army's "Intelligence" kidnapped the young man "Mohammed Rashid Rasho, 19 years old" from the village of Tesellor in Jindires district in Afrin countryside. He was taken to the intelligence headquarters in Jindires city and remains under arbitrary detention, with his fate unknown.

On September 8, 2024: 

Mercenaries of the National Army (Military Police – Al-Sharqiya Army) raided the village of Maska Thtani in Afrin countryside, controlled by mercenaries, and randomly arrested several citizens. Those identified include: "Mohammed Hanan Sido (37 years old), Hussein Ahmed Abdullah Adha (37 years old), Ali Mohammed Mankawi (36 years old)."

On September 9, 2024: 

Mercenaries of the National Army kidnapped the citizen "Mustafa Othman Khalil (44 years old)" from the village of Ain Al-Hajar in Maabatli district while he was visiting the transportation office to obtain a driver's license. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown.”

National Army mercenaries from the "al-Jabha al-Shamiya" group abducted a minor in Azaz, named "Mustafa Falah" (15 years old), from the Damascus countryside, and took him to an unknown destination.

On September 10, 2024:

National Army mercenaries abducted citizen "Hisham Hussein Khalid" (37 years old) in Afrin city. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown.

National Army mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Issam Abdo Jamil" (30 years old) in the Maabatli subdistrict of rural Afrin. He is from the village of Simalak and he was taken to an unknown destination, with his fate still unknown.

National Army mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Mohammad Hanan Hanan" (37 years old) in Afrin and took him to an unknown destination, where his fate remains unknown.

On September 11, 2024:

National Army mercenaries kidnapped "Faras Khalil," head of the Arab Bobna tribe, from his guest house in Afrin city. He was taken to the military police headquarters in Afrin, then transferred to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown.

National Army "civilian police" mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Rizan Mohammad Hanan" (42 years old) from the village of "Andariya" west of Afrin city. He was taken while visiting the transportation department and remains missing.

On September 13, 2024:

National Army "civilian police" mercenaries kidnapped three citizens: "Mawluda Mohammad Rashu" (58 years old), her husband "Mohammad Rashid Rashu" (60 years old) from Jindires city, and "Mohammad Ali Abdo Khalil" (40 years old) from the village of Kafr Safra. They were taken to an unknown destination, and their fates remain unknown.

On September 15, 2024:

Suleiman Shah “al-Amshat” mercenaries assaulted protesters in the town of Kakhirah in rural Afrin, who were protesting against al-Amshat's violations and the imposition of additional taxes. Several women and youths were injured, and others were abducted, including Idrees Haj Ali Abdu and Rashid Hanan.

On September 16, 2024:

National Army mercenaries kidnapped "Moayad al-Ali" and "Mohammad al-Ali" from the town of Nawa in Daraa province and "Hassan al-Hayek" from Aleppo city. They were taken to an unknown destination, and their fates remain unknown.

On September 17, 2024:

National Army "military police" mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Mohammad Hanan Hanan" (37 years old) from his uncle’s house, located opposite Saleh al-Ali School in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown.

National Army "al-Jabha al-Shamiya" mercenaries kidnapped citizens "Suleiman Mahmoud Walid" (47 years old) and "Mohammad Mahmoud Manan" (40 years old) from the town of Bulbul and took them to an unknown destination.

On September 18, 2024:

National Army "military police" mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Mohammad Fadel Hussein" (46 years old) from his home in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of Afrin city. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown.

On September 21, 2024:

National Army "military police" mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Jamal Sheikh Mohammad" (43 years old) in Azaz city and took him to an unknown destination.

On September 22, 2024:

National Army "military police" mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Fawzi Khalil Hassan" (38 years old) in Afrin city and took him to an unknown destination. He is from the village of "Qarteqlaq" in the Sharran subdistrict.

On September 23, 2024:

National Army "112th Brigade" mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Mohammad Khajo" (65 years old) in the village of Badina in the Rajo subdistrict of rural Afrin. He was taken to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown. He is from Maabatli town.

National Army "military police" mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Khalil Youssef Ali" (43 years old) from Basuta town in the Shirawa subdistrict, from a house near Friends School in Afrin city, and took him to an unknown destination.

On September 25, 2024:

National Army "military police" mercenaries kidnapped citizen "Rizan Mohammad Nouri" (49 years old) in Afrin city and took him to an unknown destination. He is from Maabatli town.

National Army "military police" mercenaries kidnapped citizens "Hassan Mohammad Othman" (47 years old), "Haitham Bakr Hussein" (43 years old), "Ziad Hassan Jamo" (41 years old), and "Maher Mahmoud" (39 years old) in Afrin city. They were taken to an unknown destination, and their fates remain unknown.

On September 28, 2024:

National Army "al-Amshat" mercenaries kidnapped seven Kurdish citizens during a raid on their homes in Maabatli town: "Mohammad Izzat Bakr" (45 years old), "Khabat Izzat Bakr" (38 years old), "Bashar Zuhair Hamada" (25 years old), "Diyar Sheikh," "Basil Hanan Hajiko" (26 years old), "Dilo Ahmad Mustafa" (39 years old), and "Ali Mokhtar" (45 years old). They were taken to an unknown destination, and their fates remain unknown.”
