Call for protests against leader Ocalan's isolation in Qamishlo

Tomorrow, the Popular Initiative will organize a mass demonstration in the city of Qamishlo against the conspiracy and international isolation imposed on Leader Abdullah Ocalan, calling on all the people of Qamishlo canton to join it.

The Turkish authorities have imposed strict isolation on Leader Abdullah Ocalan since March 25, 2021, preventing his family and lawyers from meeting with him. This isolation met with popular discontent throughout Kurdistan and the world, and in this context, the popular initiative in the Jazera region announced on September 9 the organization of a series of protest events and activities, under the slogan (Freedom of leader Apo guarantees peace in the Middle East).

Today, a sit-in tent was set up in the city of Qamishlo, joined by a crowd of the people of the district, and a massive public demonstration is scheduled to be organized in the city, tomorrow, at 16:00, starting from in front of the March 12 Martyrs Stadium to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees building in the city.

The popular initiative calls on the people of Qamishlo canton to participate actively in the demonstration against leader's isolation.
