10 ISIS mercenaries arrested in Kirkuk, Sulaymaniyah and Anbar
The Security Media Cell and the Directorate of Military Intelligence in Iraq announced the arrest of 10 ISIS mercenaries in Kirkuk, Sulaymaniyah and Anbar.
A statement by the Security Media Cell in Iraq stated, "Based on the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, and under the supervision of the head of the Anti-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Abdul-Wahhab al-Saadi, the detachments of the apparatus carried out a series of qualitative operations, which resulted in the arrest of (4) terrorists from ISIS gangs."
According to the Iraqi News Agency, "the units of the apparatus, in coordination with the Anti-Terrorism Directorate in Erbil, managed to arrest the terrorist leader (W.M.M), who occupies the position of an explosives expert in the northern sector of the terrorist ISIS gangs," indicating that " The detachments of the apparatus, in cooperation with the Sulaymaniyah Anti-Terrorism Regiment, and with two separate duties, arrested two terrorists in the Bazian and Chamchamal regions of Sulaymaniyah.
It added, "A force from the apparatus, as part of a series of specific operations, carried out the arrest of a terrorist in Kirkuk."
For its part, the Directorate of Military Intelligence announced the arrest of 6 ISIS mercenaries in Anbar Province.
The Directorate stated in a statement that, "With separate operations and determined efforts, and based on accurate intelligence information of the Tenth Division of the Military Intelligence Directorate, and in cooperation with intelligence and a force from the 40th Brigade, which resulted in the arrest of (6) wanted terrorists." According to the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law in the Fallujah district.
