Many problems have arisen between Iraq and Turkey regarding the issue of oil during the recent period. Since 2014, Turkey has been looting Iraqi oil and importing it illegally.

According to the Iraqi constitution, the region is not entitled to trade in oil on its own, and in this context Turkey stipulated that Iraq should barter water for oil (giving a barrel of water for every barrel of oil). Iraq and Syria's share of water during the last 5 years. This caused a great living crisis in Iraq, especially in terms of agriculture and fishing, and prompted thousands to emigrate. Botan Germiyanî shared with us the information he obtained about the outcomes of Hakan Fîdan's meetings with Iraqi officials, saying: "The information we obtained from private sources indicates that Hakan Fîdan did not achieve anything in Iraq, and his conditions were not accepted, and Iraq had previously filed a lawsuit with the International Court in Paris." , because of the Turkish state’s plundering of the region’s oil through a 50-year agreement with the Barzani family, and (Iraq) won it last year, and the court ruled at that time to stop the oil trade in the region, and oblige Turkey to pay a fine of one and a half billion dollars to Iraq, and the Iraqi government prevents the export of oil and transported it since that time, while Hakan Fîdan stated that it is impossible for them to pay this fine no matter what happens, and he said that the Kurdistan Democratic Party is the one who has to pay this fine, and they set a number of conditions to resume exporting oil to Turkey from it, and to continue to grant Turkey a discount of 13 dollars On the price of one barrel, as well as continuing to pay transportation fees to the Turkish company BOTAS in the amount of 7 dollars per barrel, but Iraqi officials reported that no agreement had been reached yet, while Iraqi politicians indicated that accepting these conditions was very difficult and not possible. The issue of the Turkish attacks and occupation greatly resented Iraqi politicians and officials. Shiite officials clearly expressed their position against Hakan Fîdan, and demanded that they (the Turks) withdraw their army from their lands.

He hastened to meet with the Kurdistan Democratic Party

Hakan Fîdan, after meeting with officials in the Iraqi government, went to Hewler to meet with the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and Botan Germiyanî explained that he had not achieved any of his goals in Iraq, so he hurried to go to the Kurdistan region and meet with the three officials in the Barzani family.

Botan Germiyanî stated that the meeting with officials in the Başûr government, the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Muslim Brotherhood focused on two main issues and said: "He demanded that they join the war against the Kurdistan Liberation Movement led by the PKK directly, and not only support and cooperate with them, but fight with them against the liberation movement." Within the framework of the new cabinet formation of Erdogan's government, Hakan Fîdan turned to the Muslim Brotherhood, as they previously wanted to fight through the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and identify the PKK as an enemy, and then control the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and use them in the approach of treachery, but The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan did not accept this policy and told the KDP and the Turkish state clearly, "We will not be dragged into such a war, and we will never enter into a Kurdish-Kurdish war." Therefore, they focused their attention this time on the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Turkmen Front is organizing its ranks in Başûr Kurdistan. In the cities located along the 140 line, the districts of Kirkuk and the Nineveh Plain, during the last ten years, in direct alliance with the Turkish state, Hakan Fîdan also met with them and asked them to strengthen their forces until they reach the stage of being the first force in Kirkuk, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party is a partner in this policy as well.

Forming an alliance against Kirkuk before the elections
