Regional Women's Conference calls for achieving leader physical freedom

The third and final session of the regional women's conference, titled "At the Right Way: Women - Life - Freedom", discussed the vision of the companion of women's path, leader Abdullah Ocalan, and his role in escalating the struggle for women's freedom. It was moderated by the researcher specializing in women's, peace and security studies, Dr. May Ajlan .

The activist Rojian Hussein said: "Kurdish women began to organize themselves on the basis of the thesis of the leader Abdullah Ocalan," stressing that every step of women and their development was based on the thesis of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

For her part, the Turkish lawyer and member of the "Lawyers for Freedom" association, Rankin Argül, spoke about "the legal situation and the inhumane practices applied to the thinker Ocalan in Imrali prison."

Renkin explained that the "right to hope" law known in the world means the release of the detainee after 20 years, but despite the abolition of the death penalty in Turkey, there was hope for the release of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, but that was done.

The lawyer also shed light on Form (F), which continues in Imrali Prison, saying: “It means that he is an emergency detainee and in solitary confinement in these Turkish prisons, detainees are prohibited from seeing the sun. As for Forms (W) and (S), they are for hard life and are their cases are special.

She emphasized that complaints were submitted to local and international bodies regarding the situation of leader Abdullah Ocalan without response.

The lawyer cited the example of a prison in Britain called the "Shipping Prison", because it is in the middle of the sea, has no official status, and no laws, and it is a prison for "Arab and Kurdish immigrants."

The third session concluded with a final theme entitled "What should we do to overcome the prevailing torture regime in Imrali?

 During it, the spokeswoman for the Noon Initiative for the Freedom of Ocalan, the human rights activist, Sawsan Shoman, spoke about Imrali, the notorious island, which was linked after the arrest of the leader Abdullah Ocalan in his name, as it became a prohibited, heavily guarded military zone.

Shoman stressed that the leader, Abdullah Ocalan is prohibited from "communicating with the outside world in this prison, and there have been no meetings with lawyers or family for more than two years." She said, "Here questions are increasing and ambiguity is escalating about the situation of the detainees, especially their health in difficult conditions surrounding the prison from all sides."

The last session of the conference ended with questions to the speakers about more questions and suggestions about the fate of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, and the plans that could be adopted for his release, amid cheers of the attendees for the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.
